Buy New World Gold Online giant Amazon has not had the easiest time trying to launch new PC and console games. After initially launching its team-based shooter Crucible and quickly pulling the game into another closed beta to work on improvements, Amazon Game Studios has now delayed the upcoming massively multiplayer online (MMO) title New World until Spring 2021.

New World Studio Director Rich Lawrence specifically pointed to a desire “to ensure that the most dedicated players have plenty of middle and endgame experiences” as partial cause for the delay.

Lawrence went on, saying that Amazon wants to provide a lengthy, quality experience: “We’re passionate about the game we’ve been making and want to add more features and content before we share it with a wider audience.”

Despite the delay, Lawrence added that beta players and pre-order customers would be able to play New World in its current state starting on the original launch date of August 25, 2020. A closed beta for the game was also announced for late July during the PC Gaming Show 2020 presentation. Regardless, with Crucible having seen poor response upon release and going back into closed beta since, New World is likely a game Amazon Game Studios wants to give all the time it needs to be as perfect as can be. Though it has shown some promise, our previous hands-on preview with the game agreed it needed some variety to keep things interesting.

“We love the thematic ideas of a newly discovered world, crude technology that might advance and mature over time, and the role that faith and superstition play in establishing an enduring settlement,” said Patrick Gilmore, Studio Director, Amazon Game Studios Orange County, in an interview with Digital Trends. “And more than anything, we loved the idea of a frontier—a sort of boundary between the known and unknown, implying there would always be something new to discover.”
